Saxo wheelarch tank

Unread post by mcgregor »

Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me what the small plastic tank high up in the offside wheelarch (behind the plastic arch cover)of a 2002 Saxo 1.1 does please. The reason I ask is that I have managed to break the two hose connections going to it. I connected the two hoses together and the car seems to be ok but what do they do? Will I need to get a new one or can I safely leave it as is. Any help mush appreciated.

it is the charcoal canister, ideally you want to replace it as it stores fuel vapour.
