406 Outseide Temp Sensor

Can someone please enlighten me as to the location of the outside temp sensor on a 406.

My one is reading a constant 17 degree's whatever the outside temp is.

I would like to see if it has moved from it's correct location (If I can find it!)

located in left hand door mirror ,looks like a little tit on the underside of mirror,new sensor avalible seperate jusy cut and solder in new one

Replacement sensor is £18 from Peugeot. It would be worth removing the sensor and measuring it's resistance at different temperatures before condemning it.
