looking square on at the front, just below & to the left of the nearside headlight, to the right of the cooling fan. but part of the fan housing.

Perhaps they're just....... holes ?
Do they need a reason to exist ?
(Sorry, I have no idea.... there are lots of holes all over the car that don't have any purpose that I can see...)

Once looks like a mounting tab for a sensor/sender/bracket your car doesn't have. The vent hole ??? Possibly in countries where they use radiator blinds, it's to ease the vacum created by the fans if they switch on with the radiator blind down ???

In the Citroen world, I think they are intended to be used as a shortcut so rats can go from behind the rad to the front of the car
