Buying with no keypad code
I was looking at a cars at the weekend at a salvage auction(see my other post) There were a few peugeots and citroens which had no code with them, and no V5. I know a dealer will issue a code if you have a V5 however you cannot get one for a write off until you MOT it. Is there a way round it?

The default factory code is 1 1 1 1, Try that first.
The owner can change the code whenever they want so it could be any 4 digit number.
If its the later S button Cat 2 keypad you only get 3 goes at the code before the keypad locks you out for 30 minutes!
The only easy way around it is remove the keypad & send it away to have the code extracted, About £25
On a diesel the fuel pump stop solinoid is what stops the engine running, It has a very strong steel security shield around it & isnt easy to bypass in a hurry.
On a petrol its the fuel injectors & coil pack that are locked by the ECU, NOTE: Powering up the coil & fuel injection relay will NOT bypass the immobiliser, It will stay LOCKED!
Unless you know a Peugeot / Citroen technician who can help you
