Hi all, I have two rear wiper motors for the BX, one is direct drive from the motor to the spindle, the other is larger, and has a linkage from the motor to the spindle.
I'm guessing one is early, one is late, can anyone tell me which is which?
The wiring and mounting brackets look the same, but there is a fair difference in size and shape.
Many thanks, Al

i may not be so much early and late it might just be differant makes, and or estate and saloon, but if they are both either saloon or estate they should fit early or late
regards malcolm
I had a frozen wiper unit on the rear of my Estate when I first bought it. It is the smaller integrated type - and presumely '89 made as the rest of the car.
All the rear ones for the saloon I've seen are the larger external drive types.
Note that the BX rear wiper units for saloon and Estate are different in mountings - and cannot be modified for swapping over.
And yes - agree with Malcolm : the wiper units are the same over the entire year+model range.

Thet are both saloon. I have a feeling the tailgate trim was different on the 1987 car and the 1991 car when I stripped them, was a while ago, so don't remember. Don't have a BX anymore so can't check.

Everyone replied at the same time then! I have a front one aswell, and that is different. The mountings are the same on the two I've got, so they are probably just different makes.
