1997 zx TD radio problems

Hi

I am fitting anew radio and it doesn't work! The fuses are OK but the power to the plug seems to be off and on, sometimes nreading 0v and other times reading 19V! I am at a loss now and don't really want to pull the whole dash out to try and trace and umknown fault.

Any ideas why the power wouldn't be there? Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Any help would be appreciated!

Check all the fuses first, if you havn't allready done so. It would seem that you have a high resistance connection somewhere, its more likely to be under the bonnet as thats where most of the corrosion occurs. If there are more fuses there, pull them out, check them, if they look dirty or corroded, give them a good clean.
