Hi i have a 1996 Renault Laguna, today the clutch pedal has gone soft, depress pedal and it goes to the floor, i have to press pedal again then its ok to change gear, i can change gears ok it just seems like i have to depress the pedal a couple of times to get it back to the normal position,does anyone have an idea if its a stretched cable or a more serious clutch problem. Thanks for your help

Is there any form of adjuster on the pedal? a bit like the old ford escort type. wrachet thingy on the pedal. Habe you checked the cable end on the gear box. May be that the cable has slipped on the adjuster.
