A friend of mine bought himself a Citroen Relay van several weeks ago to use for his carpet fitting business. A couple of weeks ago he had a couple of electrical problems with the van which he had fixed at a local garage. However, during the repairs they removed the battery and now the radio won't work and he doesn't have the code for it. He's been in touch with previous owner to ask for the code but he says he hasn't got it. So, knowing that I'm a member of this forum with so many knowledgeable people he's asked me to help him out. I've found various websites that can, for a small fee, provide the code if a serial number is supplied. I've taken the radio out of the van to find the serial number but have found three lots of stickers and I don't know which one will be the correct serial number. If anyone can help, here's what's on the stickers.
On top of the set is two stickers.
One reads.....BP-Nr 760373316
The other reads....Prod-Nr Fiat 7353243970 A151
On the side is a bar code sticker which reads.....
815BP037330273721
Ducato CC
7640 373 316
021614
So, a lot of numbers here but which one is the serial number ?
I think he's also been trying to punch in numbers and now the display is showing 'wait'. I know that after so many tries it will show 'wait' for 24 hours before a new attempt can be made. Does the radio need to be left switched on for the full 24 hours constantly or will leaving it on during the day when he's using the van add up to the 24 hours needed. I think I may have to remove it and connect it to a battery for the full period. Any advice or guidance on this would be most appreciated. If only to stop him singing in the van
