Warning light

Battery warning light stays on after starting, but goes out when revs are high.

This is very likely the alternator starting to fail. It may be possible to get the unit reconditioned, or an exchange if it's not gone too far. Others will have more info about the possibilities for reconditioning. Check the ouput from the alternator at idle with a voltmeter to be sure, as sensors sometimes lie (or suffer from bad connections).

Don't overlook the belt slipping before you go changing the alternator....
