Was driving up the M1 on Sunday, and saw a few Dyanes / 2CVs going the other way on trailers, looking a bit stripped down and muddy - must have been a 2CV autograss event or something??
I also saw a D safari, but that was looking very flat in the suspension department and getting loaded onto a recovery truck
And should I have told the elderly gent in the smart T plate Xantia across the way at the petrol station in Dorking, that it needed a new accumulator
About three weeks ago a odd looking 2cv came in to the garage where i work for a tyre change. It had one of the rear suspension arms removed and the other had been cut and re welded so that it was trailing in the middle so it was a three wheeled motor. It also had a sports car type of body on it. Looked good as well for a 2cv.
It was caled a 2cv LOMAX never seen one before!
Offering either a kit carbuild it yourslef option or a ready to drive option for considerably more.
They are/were available in 3 or 4 wheel and with either 2cv 2cyl engine or the GS flat four.
Surprisingly quick and they are very fun to drive, although some of the variations are not too pleasing to look at, in my opinion.

There were some 2cv 4x4s off roading last weekend. One ended up a little bent...
We've been off-roading/fording in Suffolk this weekend in standard 2cvs. Great fun! We even took a BX through one ford. I'll post some pics once I can drag myself away from the forums!
