Electric aerial

Currently driving the wife Megane soft top with the orginal head unit. Now my problem is the electric aerial stays up even when the CD player is on and the radio is off. Now on my Mazda 323, when you turn from radio to CD the aerial drops down. Now I know this is simply a case of turning the power off to the aerial, but which wire on the back of the head unit can I put my on / off switch on / in line to?

9 times out of 10 the electric aerial feed cable is blue, and often bundled with the power cables (usually red and yellow for pemanent live and ign live)

Is it so bad that the aerial stays up when you have a CD on? after all, the radio needs the aerial up to keep tabs on an RDS/TP station to tell you about the traffic jam you are now stuck in.

Never bother with the traffic side of the radio, just take my chances. As for is it so bad, well the wife bust the aerial on the day of purchase while putting it inthe garage DOH!!!!!

. Managed to fit a BERU model for a Merc. So was just covering my behind. If I get round to it I'll let you know how I get on.
