It's probably the wrong end of the summer to tell you guys this, but amongst my plethora of cars, all air conditioned, I have one (the one I prefer to drive the most naturally) that has a rotten gas leak on the discharge port at the compressor. I have a mate I can borrow the gear off/get him to do it and pay in beer type of arrangement and recently it has hit u to 40 degrees out here. (I know it sounds impossible for early spring, but it is happening) so I do a bit of a dodgy just to get me through and ask for a top up and get told that "there's a
supposed worldwide shortage on 134a at present and they don't know when it will end. Question is, when it
ends what will the price be?"
So the moral of the story is, if your winter is looking like ours was this year, non existent, and/or you need to get some work done on the air-con, the present might be the best time to get it done.
