306 hdi sump plug

Hi,
my sister has a 306hdi and next to the sump plug is another plug-type-thing. Anyone tell me what that is for?

It's both question and answer, some other PSA cars / engines have the oil temperature sensor in that position but whether the HDI engine ever has it, that I suppose is the question.
