I’ve always been told that it’s a ‘90’, so that’s what I’m sticking with until I know differently.
Easy to tell - 90 only has 1 air pipe over the engine, 110 has 2 (due to the intercooler).

Yep, cable ties on CV boots don't work - unless, it seem, they are on the outer boot of one driveshaft on a certain red AX I know...

I guess AX driveshafts are so tiny and spin so slowly they can get away with it!
I'd call that "the exception to the rule" eh Jim! Is it a nice big chunky cable tie, wide?

Actually I've realised I don't know what cable ties are defined by / what the usual widths are...

Looking here https://ebay.io/m/3MrEUv it seems:
2.5, 3.6, 4.8, 7.6, 8, 9 or 12.7mm wide.

12.7 (half inch) sounds unusually large for a cable tie.

The ones on this CV boot I'd guess must be 3.6 or 4.8 at the most. Definitely not strong enough to pull the boot securely onto the CV.

Good idea, I was trying to remember the shift pattern of BE4 (90) Vs ML5 (110) as think that also separated them

I use 8mm ties on boots and they seem to work well, need quality ones though, not the ebay Chinese variety!! :-D

Matt ,get the metal ones, i made the mistake of using the black thick ones and they will come off after a while plus a tool for crimping then is a must
Other wise you may end up doing the whole job again and grease everywhere

When an outer clip on the Cactus cv joint snapped I tried a cable tie - useless, then a metal clip without a proper tool - again useless and then a jubilee clip 70 - 90 mm from Halfords which worked. Done 2 years ago, been through 2 MOTs and still there. Now about £4 from Halfords.

I have managed to do the proper clip without the proper pliers - a pair of nail pulling pincers can stand in fairly well.

I'd thought of using jubilee clips - but it depends on what hub clearance there is (pretty tight when I've been considering it) the bulk of the worm drive bit cleared ok on the Cactus = good to know.

I've recently bought some cheap "dedicated" CV Clip Pliers, but yet to actually christen them! I think I've some metal clips stashed somewhere, so long as I can find them, a proper fix is imminent

Any recommendations for the clutch bleed retaining wire clip? The red 308's item is just a thin rusty shadow of it's former self!

This sort of thing, I think:
https://ebay.io/m/MpxMH0
(Quick search result for "Peugeot clutch clip" )

Something like this :

Precious little dimension data on that Mick - but it looks quite big. In fact looks more like a brake pipe retaining clip to my eyes. Do I spy an AI

One of these bolts lives up high on the back of the engine, tucked up nice and warm with the turbo. The other down low front of the engine. Guess which is which ?

Another dump of photos.

Pipe under the sump removed (2x 10mm) but it's the next one up back if engine bay that's also hiding an engine to gearbox bolt (the clean one, above) another 10mm bolt and a house clip 8mm hex (rather than 7mm hex if the next 2x hose clips further down!)

Wheel arch liner (left) and bumper tray removed together to attack rusty fixings off the car.
