Probably about 5/8" - 3/4" I would think. Can't you measure it?

Thanks Peter,

I am going to do that but I was hoping someone may have had to replace/find replacement and had the size.I want to be prepared before remove and refitting since I have to empty the coolant. So going to replace coolant with new stuff.

Measure the outside diameter, I would think the wall thickness would be about 5mm, can you see the end to measure it? Most small hoses are about the same size, used to be 1/2" but I think its nearer to 3/4" now.

Hi Kenny,

The internal diameter is 3/4" from what I remember.
Working on the heater hoses is very tricky because the plastic connector to the matrix is brittle.

Sticking a piece of gaffer tape will keep the coolant in for now, and driving with the coolant cap loose will prevent pressurisation.
I never tighten coolant caps, and no problems here even when it’s 30 degrees.

Happy New Year. Image

Thanks for the replies Clogzz and Taffy,

At the moment with the amount of rain falling there is no need to top up :-D 3/4 " ideal was think of using a new plastic connector.
