Radiator fans coming on

Post by rmunns »

Year 2000 Hdi90 manual box. 44000miles. Temperature gauge runs just under an indicated 90degrees but, from cold, it takes 3 miles or so before the gauge gets up. Even at this time of year, the radiator fans come on more-than occasionally.
For certain thermostat hasn't ever been replaced. Should I?

Have you got te direction set to demist? This puts the A/C on and hence the rad fans on, regardless of the postion of the A/C switch....

Richard, you're right. I had the aircon 'on' when I arrived home tonight.

I am assuming that when you put the controls to 'demist', the aircon switch light doesn't come on, only if aircon switch is depressed?
