I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Rotten rear subframe mount

Today I was presented with this.

It's supposed to be a front, rear subframe mount. I think the only properly rotten part is the inner wing bit, but I do want to have a poke around once I've got it supported on the body rather than the subframe just in case.

I'm after suggestions really of what other people would do about the mount itself,...

Hi All
New to your Forum,i have been invited on mainly because we have been a citroen dealer for many years and we have found
a box of old lamps.
they are rear lights and lens for GS/GSA not 100% sure all with part numbers on,we are finding all-sorts of parts? we will keep you up to date with what we find!!!!

Removing remains of the sound proofing for welding

I've peeled off the sound proofing from the sides of the boot but there is still a fairly even spread of fibres stuck to the inner wing. So far I've got away with a bit of smouldering from welding the opposite side. The problem now is that I need to weld directly onto the side with the fibres on so I'd like to remove most of them so my G doesn't...

Anybody any experience of putting a GSA lump and transmission in a snail van (Acadiane).

I have a friend who has come over from the dark side and bought a Citroen Acadiane van, but he finds the engine a little lacking in oomph and as he will be using it for his business, he wants it to be able to carry a load at reasonable speed. He has not...

It makes more sense to use a BMW bike engine, there are adaptors available. I think the 65hp version is normally used, but for reliability a GS box needs to be used, which as is mentioned above causes other problems. Using the fat four makes for a very front-heavy machine which can be fun but thirsty.

A good flat twin will pull an Acadiane along...

i discoverd a tensioner for curent cit's/pugs OE No. 0829.17 cross's over to a GSF part No. of 132F10010,
there price is £12 quid each,

some companys sell GS/A tensioners for around £36 quid each,

Just thought I'd share pics of the results of a small scale restoration project.... 1:43 to be exact!

This was put together using two scrap Solido GS's bought from ebay a while back and put together as a GSX, complete with Jaune Helianthe body colour. My Dad's first GS in 1977 was a GSX exactly like this.... HLV 133P..... I didn't...

Would have been gorgeous, had it not been rear-ended a while back. Beyond repair, the shell is bent :cry:

BUT - 36,000 miles with one very keen lady owner. So keen she wouldn't trust the car to the local Citroen agent and took it to the (well-respected) Mercedes dealership for servicing and cambelt replacements etc.

no need to buy a new pipe as you could just make one up,
as you say Steve a very easy fix,

or you can do like i did many years ago, lift the inspection cover in the boot floor, disconect the ofending pipe from the three way union and bung a bleed kniple in, at least you could drive it on three legs then :twisted:
