Charging a battery
I'm currently battling yet another problem with my 2006 Pug 307cc, 2litre 16v (143hp). Once again it won't start and I have explained all in the Diagnostics section. I would like to top up the battery but vaguely remember reading something about having to reset something (or everything) if the battery is disconnected. This would probably compound the problems I already have so I wanted to ask here............is it OK to just clip a mains battery charger to the battery while the car is still connected to it to top it up? I can't just run the engine to top it up because the damned thing won't start, again.

Re: Charging a battery
That's absolutely fine to charge it with the battery in the car and still connected up.
No need to disconnect it.
No need to disconnect it.
