Well, more failure to report !
I paid a bit more for the pipe and tried out the ‘on-car’ flaring tool. The pipe looks very brassy coloured, but certainly stronger than plain copper. Followed instructions on YouTube for flaring tool which worked well on first trial. But a second flare failed miserably and the thread on the tool just stripped out. I’m returning it to seller as it’s not fit for purpose.
So guess I need a recommendation for which tool to buy, bearing in mind I’ll have to cut n flare the steel pipes to join them up to the copper.
