Well you did say anything starting with 'H' - here's a helicopter:
Photo taken on the Kimberley coast (NW Australia). Helicopter just taking off to take people up to the top of Mitchell Falls. There are no roads along the Kimberley coast, so we had to go by boat (small cruise ship).

Excellent, that’s the idea No need for too much thought. Anything everything during the month of May 2003 loosely related to the letter of the day. Now if there s a story to go with that particular helicopter or the event, that’s the added bonus.
The worlds easiest thread. I don’t really get how it’s not festooned each day with a dozen or more different contributions to look at, and stimulate even more contributions.

These (N95 masks with activated charcoal filter) work for me for tobacco smoke and perfumes as long as they are not too close. May help with hayfever too.

H is for house!! This is the one in Watford that I grew up in, although it looked more traditional then!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

And Hertfordshire is still your patch Mick, so a dig up of those County Flags from the Today’s County in the spotlight thread may be appropriate
Then I found this first. An Eric Morecambe beer mat from Tring in the County of Hertfordshire

I-Day
Todays red-letter day is I
If you happened to apply and be successful in appearing on an episode of Blankety Blank what would be the three most popular answers in the exciting "Supermatch Game" if this board came up on the show...

I-odine
Three years ago, while cutting the grass, I had what appeared to be an insect bite on my lower leg.
Ignored it as usual. Within a few days it developed into a rash that spread slowly and dind't respond to the usual blatherings of snake oil.
It then spread to the adjacent leg. Very itchy but not much of a problem really. Would have gone to the doctor but that is no easy thing to do these days.
A few weeks ago it got much worse, legs were bleeding and sore and it spread up to my neck.
Several showers a day with medicated soap and Octenisan have reduced it considerably, along with a bath in Dettol each night.
A mention of Iodine had me thinking, but not of the explosive we used to make from it, lots of fun but no good at blowing spots off.
Bought a bottle of the above from Amazon, it is really for animals but the distinction is a fine one. Spray that on three times a day.
Seemed to be working until a few days ago then returned with a vengeance. Back to bleeding all over although it has now withdrawn again.
Messy stuff. Have to go in the garden to squirt it about. Lucky I have a high wall & fence.
