It certainly looks like the "last car" that many of us get a ride in!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

My goodness! That's even more hideous than that maroon Merc. we saw at Matthewson's last week and there I thought the bottom of the barrel had been well and truly scraped, not realising another layer of awfulness existed below...

I liked the gull-wing car as back to the future ISH, but that is absolutely awful, I wouldn't be seen dead in it, who the heck made that!?

I like how they use the old fashioned phrase "shooting brake". Very nice vehicle...

From a rather nice Volvo P1800 ES to a more ropey one, giving decent service as a dustbin and general junk carrier.

Always liked the Corsair shape... I guess an estate is very rare now... Very roomy inside :)

There's someone near my in-laws who must have a think about Volvo estates as has a couple.

That one (badged TD intercooler) must be of of the less thirsty VW straight six diesel engine versions.

I can't help wonder why the top of the tail light plastic is quite clearly a different material than the bottom end judging by the amount it's faded to opaque white/pink Vs the red bit at the bottom that looks like new!

Zoomed in to badges and faded Vs unfaded red parts of tail light cluster

(Having zoomed, perhaps "like new" was overstated but it's definitely better at resisting the UV! :)

Seems amazing now they'd boast it has an intercooler... Didn't petrol Volvos of the period have 'Catalyst' in place of the 'Intercooler' badge on that TD?

The Corsair must be a rare beast, most of them rotted away while you watched, a very nice car otherwise.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

I'm shocked that's sitting in Letchworth, someone is going to get a bargain there
