Just (re)discovered the C5 "Allroad" / "Cross Country" / "Crosstourer:

and was wondering if it would be possible to get the arch extensions from that model as an addon for my X7?

They are available as parts Jay:
jay wings.PNG
Front
(13) C5 Crosstourer
Front Wing Moulding Left, part: 9809535780, £156.42
Front Wing Moulding Right, part: 9809535680, £156.42

VAT Inclusive direct from Citroen. I can't see anything obvious as to why they wouldn't fit. The inner wing mudguards changed to the version shown at (22) (From (20) & (21)) as of 1st March 2010 on, but that's about it.

Rear
jay wing b.PNG
(21) C5 Crosstourer

Rear Wing Moulding Left, part: 9809537680, £156.42
Rear Wing Moulding Right, part: 9809537580, £156.42

Number 13 looks to stop with the wing, so presume there's a little black arch extension piece on the front bumper too? Can't help wonder if those little bits will be £156.42 as well! :-D

Edit: same for the rear too

Thanks for digging out the info for me, but THAT PRICE!!!

So it's roughly fourteen hundred bucks for a few plastic arch trims? :? For that money I could get a full body kit fitted and painted, making something worthy of a max power cover car :-k

[Note to self:] No Jay! You're too old for that nonsense now, close the google "body kit" tab now... :rofl2:

Being serious now, I thought they might be a couple of hundred bucks for the full set, three hundred tops. But at the prices listed, I'd rather put the money towards getting the C5 a full respray and alloy refurb, or throw the money into saving up for the Merc CLS.

Agreed it's a total rip off as is most 'custom' styling. Excuse to print money.

Mind what I said about Max Power feature car? I'm now looking at, and trying to dissuade myself from this bodykit for my BMW:

£884 for the kit, 6x panels to paint at £90ea, ~£1400 :-k - I need to grow up - I'm too old to be a boy racer :rofl2:

Any of those body kits, are still cheaper than the black plastic :lol

MATT!!! Do you realise what you've done? Now that I know that there are some genuine bodykits available for the car, rather than just pressganging something designed for another motor, such as the mondeo mk5, this max power cover car is getting ever more likely.
  • If I borrowed the 20" Chrome BBS Cremona's off my Jaguar, and put the hydraulics to lowest or even depressurise them for the photoshoot with the laptop and it'd be well "slammed"
  • Flash a remap on the engine ECU, could up-rate the intercooler while the bumper is off, and do naughty decats etc and it'd have "All da POWAH!!!"
  • It's already got android tablet headrests so a full ICE setup would only need a full set of "VIBE!" speakers, sub in the boot's right-hand cubbyhole, although I'm limited for options on upgrading from the now dated Next Generation 4 headunit
  • Light tint the front windows and as already got "privacy glass" tints everywhere else, maybe chamelion tint the front screen
  • C3 chrome mirror caps
  • It shouldn't be that hard to put a full-on horny jelly-fish looking colour changing RGB LED underbody light system
#pimpwagon :rofl2:

(BTW - in case it's lost in the messages, I'm grateful for you digging out the part numbers etc, so it's not you I'm having a pop at, it's just the prices Citroen have set on those parts are absurd)

Just remembered that the c5's "Pearla Nera" metallic black is rainbow flaked so it's got a pearlescent paint job, as standard. But there's a massive fly in the ointment for my plan for max-power feature/cover car of our C5 - max power is no more. Doh!

Shame there's no Max Power to be the cover car for, and I've never been cool enough to attend "a cruise" so don't know if they are still a thing?

But the new thing seems to refer to everything as a "scene", even better with a crude abbreviation of the marque e.g. "dub scene"

But I had a thought, maybe some of these "scene" staples could be to our advantage, e.g.

Rather than fix the X7s uncooperative wipers, take them off and "sticker bomb" the offending area with some tat from these lot:

The duchess has diplomatically refused to comment on whether she's delighted or disappointed to hear that there's no max power magazine for me to aim to get her car on the cover.

I think you also need to make the exhaust go 'Pop !' and 'Bang !' at various interludes to complete the makeover - at least I think that's what the carriages of the hip young things do these days.

Ah yes, a "popcorn remap" I believe!

The popcorn remap is pretty easy to do, it's done by lowering the single point rev limit to a couple of revs below the end of the map, this causes the car to try and drive through it's rev limit so it hits it hard, cuts fuel, revs drop, foot's still buried, so the engine accelerates again, falls to the same trap, rinse repeat, bouncing off the rev limit going bop-bop-bop-bop-bop!.
