Citroen ds3 failed emission checked air filter puffing out black smoke

Hi the garage diagnosed blocked egr valve, which i purchased and when I returned to collect car they said they didn’t need to fit new egr the did a stage 2 flush. I’m guessing they cleaned the old one out. And it passed emissions on mot

Ah right , I already got egr blanked and mapped out and it’s still doing it , was it the egr it’s self that was blocked or the cooler ?

As we don't provide information with regard to blanking the EGR as this is illegal you may struggle for information, but as blanking the EGR has not improved anything I suggest that you revert to the way it was and investigate further.

Sorry couldn’t tell u. They just said the did a flush and I could return new egr as it wasn’t used. Which save me £300 so I wasn’t asking many questions. Just hope it does happen again for next MOT, good luck with ur problem hope u solve it
