Hi, and :welc: to the Forum.
You will need to arrange a diagnostics session on the car. "Engine Fault Repair Needed" is a catch-all sort of message, and could cover a large number of faults. However, the other faults you describe suggests an electrical problem.

It's a Citroen c4 grand picasso 66 plate
Weirdly enough I started it this morning and it started normally with no warning sign🤷
(obviously the service lights still on as I haven't turned it off)

Any one had this sort of issue come and go

Hi, it seems your original post has been accidentally removed, likely awaiting moderation for new member posts.

While it is still in memory, I would suggest you do get a diagnostic done also as the car dash fault indicator only covers basic issues and cannot cover the potentially thousands of fault codes that are possible,

To see these you will need a proper diagnostic done on the vehicle, then pop the codes up with your VIN.

Moderator note:
Our apologies, K_ , but your original post got duplicated - and then one deleted - which left a "hole" at the top of your new thread.

This was the text of your original post:

" I started my car yesterday and "engine fault repair needed" came up as I started it with a warning sound. It's goes off while driving but my service light has come on even though its recently been serviced. This happens everytime I start the car now. Also last week before this all happened I went to start the car and everything just went dead for a few seconds, the dash went bland and even my key fob wouldnt lock the car. It worked as normal after a minute but now I'm getting this. "

A monumental 'widow' or 'orphan' - not sure which, but apologies, anyway.

OK I've just pulled the bonnet up and found the battery positive terminal lead loose and just about on. Hopefully that's what it was

If it is, consider that a very cheap fix! :-D

Maybe you've got lucky! But don't ignore the ' good service due ' warning here.
