Just been stabbed.

By a nice nurse with a needle full of Covid vaccine. :)

Well done, methinks you could be the first on here Gibbo, unless of course anyone knows different? :)

Do you know which one you had Gibbo? Pfizer/BioNTech or Oxford/AstraZenaca?

Pfizer/BioNTech Paul, second helping between 12 and 20 weeks "We'll call you."

Well organised at the clinic, umpteen doctors and nurses, I reckon doing 150 to 200 an hour.

Took SWMBO to Lister Hospital in Stevenage this morning for her first pfizer dose as she is still on the NHS staff bank and may be called in. Very well organised, NHS staff only being done having completed the over 70's. After the jab and 15 minute aftercare she was released with an appointment for the second dose in March. All ok so far as regards side effects. :)

Daughter was contacted by the disaster agency that she is signed up to to administer the vaccine. Would have been 10x her normal salary. Unfortunately work can't spare her this time.
Told eldest son and he claimed that there was a fortnight training to administer them (he is involved with antivirus research and been sidelined to deal only with C-19).
She countered that there was only a ten-hour online course.
She is experienced though, hypodermics, cannulas, scalpely stuff and sewing up. None of her customers have ever complained about her work.

OK, she's an embalmer

I do!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had both vaccinations. The first on the 17 Dec and the second one on the 7th January. No side effects from either jab. Both vaccinations were given at the centre in the Grandstand on Epsom Downs. The same centre featured on BBC news last Monday morning as being "newly opened". They even interviewed an 88 year-old lady as being the first patient. She was six weeks too late. :-D

Did mine online - a faff as I haven't visited this surgery since I registered a year and a half ago.
Hate phoning so that was out.

Our GP Practice requires you to fill in a form on-line first of all. They won't respond to a phone call unless you've been through the internet triage first.

Gosh, now that's great technology that allows you to be jabbed online  Brings a whole new meaning to antivirus  :)

Send them through Al Gore's interweb tooobs.

The whole thing is a bit complex - for me anyway. When I registered I had to create an online account with the surgery. Did that and a couple of days later had an email to say I had changed my address (hadn't) but couldn't log in, passwords unrecognised and even my registration was unrecognised.
Had to do it all again and it is done through third parties - the Co-Op being one)
I tried to see my medical history but it wasn't very informative.

My phone is registered with them and the trick is supposed to be to respond using the code they text. Which my phone can't do, so it has to be transferred to a computer.

I have a better phone here but can't access it as the PIN is forgotten, can't even do a factory reset without the PIN, so essentially a brick.
Normally I would just wander in to the surgery to make appointments but that is forbidden these days.
