Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Update, after looking at the inline fuse fitted to the Battery status charge unit. I believe this is the factory fitting as the wire numbers all match up. There are no cut wires anywhere to be seen.

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Yes Marc, that is it.
I have checked the wiring. The +ve supply is direct from the battery and runs to this fuse under PSF.From the fuse to BCSU then to earth. A signal wire runs from BCSU to BSI. The signal wire will advise the BSI of any problems with the battery.
The wiring matches the diagrams on Sedre. I stupidly made an assumption a repair was made.
This is a stand alone circuit for battery issues.
Sorry for the confusion.
Awaiting for new fuse box as I don't trust the 2nd hand one I have.
Worth mentioning Eurocarcare have mine listed at £106 at least 1/2 the price the only problem it's out of stock.

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Hi all,
I reply to this topic because it seems I am facing the same issue.
I have a huge LDS leak on the supply pipe going to the rear axle.
The leak is just above the fuel tank, where there is a clamp to hold the rigid pipe 9807562180.
As you can see on the attached picture. I found a technical service bulleting from Citroen explaining the issue, they recommend to remove the front frame, the fuel tank, the exhaust and the rear axle to replace this lines!
I attached the bulletin (sorry it is in French)
So my issue seem to be similar to what Kenny W faced, especially his description from the 8th October 2020.
But I didn´t catch exactly how did you repaired it? Did you replace the complete pipe from the HP pump to the rear axle or did you repair just the damaged section with union fitting?
Thanks in advance for your help
Rémi

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Yes , I replaced the whole line as I don’t have the brake pipe repair tool.
If you have this it will be much easier to insert a small length of pipe with connectors either side.
I didn’t drop front sub frame, but I did drop the fuel tank and removed the fuel. The tank is HDPE NOT metallic, certainly on my C5
But from your photo it looks like the same spot as mine.
I hope this helps
Kenny

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Hi,
Thank you for this quick reply
I will for sure remove my fuel tank to have a look closer to the damaged rigid line
And then I will see if I replace completely or try to repair it using a small length of pipe with connectors
thanks again
Remi

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
I only dropped my tank down as I didn’t have the room to remove the fuel tank. Completely

Re: Burst suspension pipe at rear
Bonjour all,
Sorry for the late reply but I wanted to update this post.
As the failure happen on the car park in front of my flat it was difficult to repair.
So I decided to make a temporary repair using union fittings and also 4.5mm copper line. Like this I have been able to bring back the car to the garage of my parents house (approximately 600km)
And then I relaced the complete line 9807562180, the new line is equipped with a rubber protection to avoid the same issue as the previous line.
In order to replace it, I had to remove the fuel tank, the rear axle and the front sub frame. The previous line was corroded at several locations. Hope all these information can be usefull if you face some similar issue.
Do not hesitate if you have any questions.
Thanks
