Help hacking the RT3 video mode

This is the RT3 unit and was made by Magneti Marelli
The RT3 was available in a few different hardware versions, the later ones supporting MP3 playback. These units had an optical connection to the Display Screen.

Hello all...

I have RT3 satnav with color tv 7" i belive on dashboard
I have a video mode and connected car dvd player but it stop playing every time i start driving...

So i wonder can i locate witch wire tells the RT3 that the car has start moving and can i block/hack that wire so i can play videos while driving without using additional hardware like TV400 FREE (China) or speed emulator

It's a safety feature / system designed to block the moving picture at anything over crawling speed. We won't advise you here on how to disable it as that would be irresponsible and is likely to contravene laws.

Its not like im trying to disable the brakes but nwm, ty anyway, ill search outside this forum then...

That's probably better.

If you had a crash and the investigation turned up you had a movie playing on your screen - you would not only probably have your car insurance declined, but could also be sued by a third party and possibly banned from driving / fined / imprisoned depending on the severity on any incident or if there were fatalities.

So it could be seen as the same consequence of disabling the brakes, because brakes are no good if you don't use them because you were distracted by watching a movie...
