The penny dropped and appropriate amendments made while still showing my original blunder just for authenticity!

Got the Tax reminder for the Leaf. You still have to go through the process of "Taxing" even if the rate is currently £0.00 for 12 Months.

It does make you wonder how many electric cars are needed on the road before they stop the free RFL as an inducement and start building up the revenue stream again from the electric owners. Leave it too late to change and you probably won't benefit at all whereas those like Neil and Simon are cashing in for the maximum time it will be available!! Hmmm another reason to consider the swap!

Just clicked on the Company Car bit of the DVLA information on the Go Ultra Low site in the link.
It compares the taxation of benefit in kind (BIK) for having a company car between...
Petrol
A Peugeot 208 5dr 1.2 Puretech 130 StopStart EU6 GT Line EAT 0-62mph 9.7secs / Insurance Group 25 / 130PD / 123g/km CO2
Electric
A Peugeot 208 5dr Electric 50kWh 136 Active Auto 0-62mph 8.1secs/ Insurance Group 26 / 136PS /0g/km
Have a look at the screenshot in the spoiler from Go Ultra Low....Over 3 Years I can tell you in BIK Taxation alone the Electric Option is Cheaper...But by how much :?:
Spoiler: show
I think the headline "saving" £19,283 is a bit misleading, and doesnt seem to calculate from any of the figures given. It relates to the total Benefit in Kind calculation for a Petrol 208 less the total BIK for an Electric 208. The tax payable though, depending on overall income would be at 20% or 40% of the BIK total. Works out at about £3,720 tax saving over 3 years for a basic rate taxpayer choosing the Electric 208 over the petrol 208.

That is one hell of a saving Neil, it could well see the rise from the ashes of the company car at those rates! 8-) :-D

Seemingly miles away from anywhere but only 8 Miles to a Chargeplace Scotland charger in the main car park at Jedburgh, and plenty more nearby in all the border towns.
Kelso is a nice place to stop off at and get a charge!

That will have been Floors Castle Mick, home of the Duke of Roxburghe right next to Kelso.

Yes that's the one alright, beautiful place although not all of it was open to the public, but we were invited to survey the grounds for coverage purposes. One of the ICI maintenance men had a part time job on the estate and we had to be sure he could be paged wherever he was in the grounds at weekends! :)

Couple of shots from the manual dash cam on the BB Leaf.

As you drive through the country lanes at this time of year the colours are gorgeous, with the woodland floors carpeted in leaves. The photos, or should I say my photos, rarely do it justice.
