Forum Server Maintenance 6/1/18 - Completed

I have been informed that our hosting company will be patching and rebooting our server between 9 and 10 pm GMT today.

This is of course as mitigation for the Meltdown CPU bug.

Note that there will potentially be some loss of performance after the patching, but I don't expect the difference to be noticeable for users.

The server appears to have been rebooted with a patched kernel, so we hope that that is the end of that.

We will however be having more maintenance, one or two weeks from now, when we will be moving to new server hardware. I am hoping that that will be the last move for a long time.
