Success with
70's (8 seconds) we are due to be looking after a family Labrador of the same name today
80's (2 seconds) another one suitable for the Pickled egg Jukebox mainly vocal/spoken intro club.
90's (12 Seconds) a quite forgettable version of an iconic song, by instantly forgettable artists
So 3 out of 6 or 7
Regards Neil

Fail on all but seventies, three seconds and partial success with Nineties, right song, wrong band.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Another bad day for me, 12secs for the 60s and a complete blank on the rest barring vague recgnition of the 80s.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
I believe the first one looks like Durham where I attended an OU Summer School but the second one rings no bells at all? Maybe a little guidance could help?NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 08:56Have a go at my railway stations of the day then Mick, and anyone else of course.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑10 Aug 2022, 07:17 This is getting monotonous, 60s instant recognition but took 5 secs to name it, the rest a complete wipeout as usual!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
If I haven't made a tremendous cock up with the photos, the first one on the left is indeed Durham, the other one should be probably about as close to home for you as a Station gets!mickthemaverick wrote: ↑21 Aug 2022, 11:29I believe the first one looks like Durham where I attended an OU Summer School but the second one rings no bells at all? Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
While the architecture in number 2 is very similar to Hertford East I cannot place that actual picture? Am I on the right line?

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Personal curiosity led me to take the MX3 on its weekly runout via Hertford East to see if I could actually reproduce the picture in Neil's post. My first two pictures show the station as you would pass it by when driving down the street:
But if you park and walk over to those big arches you are greeted with:
Not much change from the picture in the book but as you will have noticed there is a fair amount of development work going on at the moment:
