Site running in 'limp' mode following major failure

To keep you all up to date....

We are still having site performance issues, and a couple of system crashes (those two things are probably unrelated).

I will be moving the forum to yet another VPS in the next few days. In the mean time, I will just leave things running as they are without attempting to reinstate the missing services.

The forum has now been moved to a new server with a more suitable specification, so these issues should now be resolved.
