Sorry to say Jim i will not be getting a Xantia, much to my dismay.

Thing is i have decided to get rid of my trusted T reg Focus and instead buy something else

Good news is my boy has managed to sell his C4 without advertising it........

To ME :rofl2:

SWMBO put her foot down ( Size 90  ) after she got wind of the Xantia project when my mate left a message to say he would pick it up mates rates for me

Okay so it has been 15 months or so since i tried and failed miserably in my pursuit of a Xantia

However, due the C5 throwing it toys out of the pram and my urgent need of a cheap runaround car things have come full circle, and this time i had the blessing of SWMBO :rofl2:

Not sure how long the Link will stay up for but i will get some pics myself.

Paid £650 and it does need a little work, LHM change and will do all 6 spheres, ride height needs looking at but nothing major, time to get a LHM shower again

If it has been kept in the south of Spain it should be rust-free, but a little dinged here and there!
Looks interesting . . . Time to break open the cavity and underside wax \:D/ and she should have a long life ahead!

yes kept in Spain for approx 10 years, i have loads of paperwork from its time in Spain that i do not understand :)
The interior is pretty much as new, not a mark anywhere, only thing that i would change is the stereo, would like to change it for an original head unit.
Oh i forgot to say that the seats are so comfy, why do they not make seats like that anymore ?
Aircon does not work, but then i have a place to come for tech advices and if i can remember i have done all the jobs needed on my former Xantia's so nothing to worry me, apart from trying to find a source of new spheres and seals :)

Only ever sold one car - a Mk 3 Zodiac estate -regrets? Only when I see what they go for now (& I would've liked to have kept the reg No:) I regret much more the Vanden Plas Princess 4 litre hearse I was on the point of buying when I was offered the Zody & so my regrets are cars I never got (& will never get now), in no particular order: (almost) any Facel Vega, Armstrong-Siddley Star Saphire, Humber Imperial, Alvis TF21, Rover P5B, '66-ish T-bird, '65 Pontiac GTO, '68 Road Runner, Maserati Biturbo. These are the cars I seriously considered when they were cheap, or aspired to when they were new, & still like. Of course there are many others but they fall into different categories. Strangely, perhaps, I'm not sure I'd want any of my old cars back - certainly not my first, or the ones I learnt to drive/passed my test in!

I once had a Facel-Vega pass though my hands, it was a terrible rot box, poor mechanically and went to the scrap yard for £40 if I remember correctly.

Funny I seem to have had quite a few now valuable cars that went that way. :(

Of course one reason certain models become valuable is there are so few survivors - because so many of us share those recollections/thoughts.
