Alizarin crimson always reminds me of the Donovan song. No, not "Colours" but this
Lots of not so usual colours mentioned.

Re: Favourite colours for cars
One of the few colours I like. The rest are just colours, boring. There was a CX in Aubergineish that looked great.
Wouldn't bother seeking out a car in any particular colour though.
CGAT is good though!

Re: Favourite colours for cars
I had a Daimler Double Six to sell, an old boy who was an enthusiast said he'd like to buy it but his wife would never have a green car, I told him it was khaki not green and he said "Good idea I'll tell her that." coughed up the cash and drove it off smiling.

My mother in law was like that, she refused to ride in green cars.

New audience every day of course on the global FCF, and a brand new original Falcon creation of the white MGB spotted yesterday.

Re: Favourite colours for cars
White is a bit like Silver. Some cars look good in it but many don't. For me, the MGB falls into the latter camp. It looks very plain and bland in white.
Just my opinion...
And I've owned a LOT of white cars... And silver ones too. I still do...

Looking through my archive it would seem I have recorded 6 white specimens so here's the gallery in almost chronological order, I had the last two simultaneously!!:

Putting them all up for auction if you had them now, I would think the Ford Escort would command the highest hammer price of the bunch in 2024

Re: Favourite colours for cars
Yes I think you're right there Neil, however the Lancia, the Samba and the SX200 would all do quite well compared to what I sold them for. Not sure about the C15 or the Celica which I owned for 20 years. The MK1 RS2000's are often over £30k now!!
