Had a mooch around WB and Sons down at Killingworth. Very friendly and helpful. Auction this Saturday.

I am pretty ambivalent about car colours and it is bottom of the list when buying one.
Unlike Jim, I don't care for yellow and orange, although I did have a bright yellow Imp, hand painted, mainly to get up the nose of the MD who didn't like cars parked outside the business that weren't 'socially acceptable' like his brown Jaguar.

This passed earlier, a plum-coloured Scirocco. Love the colour.
Sadly rubbish photo as the shutter didn't operate when the car was in the best position. I hate mobile phones.

AAH! I was fooled by the numberplate mounting bolt!! I should have zoomed in before making my observation! :-D
Are you sure it's not simply Very High Gloss? :-D

My mate had exactly that model and the best thing about it was the contrast between the body colour and the black leather interior with wooden dash sporting the 4 chrome guages across the centre section. Everyone in our tenpin bowling league was envious!! :-D

Not the same one but I have been having a catch up on "normal" Bangers and Cash and they featured an XJS, a Vauxhall Cresta and an aubergine Ford Cortina 1600E on the episode I just watched.

Dad had a Marina in a similar shade, perhaps a bit darker - Black Tulip... It looked sensational and suited the car rather well...
