No, not at all as we lived there when we first moved from Sweden, in one of the former miners cottages, the mine being closed except for some maintenance.
So, how many years until we're ready to start the "ICE vehicles: What have you spotted" thread ?

Polestar were a spinoff of Volvo which I didn't know but did wonder as they have some characteristics from Volvo, I believe Volvo are stepping back now from Polestar to concentrate on their own EV's, but still keep a small 18% finger in the Polestar pie, I quite like the look of the Polestar actually.
I think is quite interesting how many motor companies are in bed with each other these days and how they share engine manufacture's.
The Chinese company Geely Holding have in their stable both Volvo Cars and Polestar along with Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Proton, Smart and Lotus, as well as commercial vehicles under the London EV Company, Radar Auto and Farizon brands. It also holds a 17% stake in Aston Martin. That's as of the wiki page now! These things change.

A few more different spots today
Citroen ËC4X Ë Series. Top of the Range Trim level
Amazing is it not once you start looking, and yet some people still moan about I am not buying so-n-so brand as they are rubbish, so-n-so brand is usually in with half a dozen if not more other brands now. Explains why so many cars look and sound similar now, back in the 1970/80's when I was a BL apprentice you could pretty much tell what car was coming before you saw it by its engine note, then once you spotted it quickly confirm what it is, now you can't even by sight in some cases until you spot the badge it's wearing.
Sad in way we have lost that individuality. EV's make mostly same hum.
KIA Soul EV, not that frequent a spot but in the bargain basement area for used cars. Lower capacity batteries for the older versions 27kWH/ 30kWh up to 2020, when the new generation KIA Soul had a 64kWh battery. This one spotted in Alnmouth today was a 71 reg...with a 64kWh Battery.

One of these today ...
Lets take the positives out of that Jim, maybe you like the van in the background, definitely a name-noticers firm.
For me, I would definitely have given it a shutter click as you did and that puts it into the "interesting category" for me. It isn't an e-type jag of course but probably quite a decent car which doesn't look that different from many others on the market. I like an unusual colour and granted its that. Nail varnishes always have exotic colour names, wonder what that official BYD colour is called. The curious will find out
