The only one today, up to now anyway.
Only a couple yesterday, a DS and a Tesla 3.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
I spotted a couple recently (while I had the camera available). A VW GTX in Ellesmere, and a Mercedes in Marlborough (where the car park just off the High Street has EV chargers.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
I'm tired of electric vehicles as there so popular in my area. I do pass a Mustang Mach E4 or X4 on the way home. I'll post a pic tomorrow

I spotted a Gwm Ora on Tuesday, but I couldn't get my smartphone into camera mode quickly enough.

Do you think they will ever make an electric canal boat James?

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
They already have. I spotted (a few years ago) a narrowboat in the Birmingham area that is powered by hydrogen fuel cells, and Julian spotted an electric narrowboat that has highly efficient solar panels and good quality batteries. If they are cruising in winter on a dry day there is enough daylight to fully recharge the batteries, even if they ae cruising for 6 hours.Rp0thejester wrote: ↑29 Jul 2023, 18:33 Do you think they will ever make an electric canal boat James?

An Idon'tknowwhatitwas.
Logo similar to Aston Martin/Bentley but wider wings.
EVs are so ubiquitous now I don't bother with this unless it is something unusual.

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
I've noticed that black London taxis are turning electric and they do have a badge very similar to modern day Bentleys with the wing badge

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
More than likely a Genesis Steve
Genesis has fairly recently arrived as the "luxury" division of Hyundai, and one of its electric offerings made it to Tesco at Kingston Park...

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
The only winged badges I can find are these, but doubtful either were on a big SUV!!
Neil has posted the probable answer while I was researching!!

Re: Electric Vehicles: What have you spotted?
May well have been a Genesis Mick although the wings looked wider.
Having looked here I think that there is a fair likelihood although my impression was of a more normal car, lower than an SUV, but it was only a fleeting glance in traffic and it was the green flash that gave it away.
If they are as good as the Genesis that I had a ride in a few years ago at one of the rallies then it is likely to be very good. The car was Bencowell's.

Bit of background on LEVC's black cabs in London.
London Electric Vehicle Company based in Coventry but owned by Chinese Automaker Geely (who also have Volvo and Lotus in their portfolio). According to this LEVC news release, LEVC’s TX has overtaken the diesel-powered TX4 as the most common black cab in operation, representing more than 40% of all black cabs in London.

Neil"LEVC products are classified as Range Extended Electric Vehicles (REEV). They can be described as Battery Electric Vehicles – driven exclusively by electricity – that feature an additional on-board generator (a small 1.5 litre petrol engine), known as a Range Extender. This provides greater usability and flexibility than pure electric operation.
When required, the Range Extender recharges the Drive Battery, which in turn powers the electric Drive Motor that drives the wheels.
Always electrically driven, there is no connection between the Range-Extender and the electric Drive Motor. The Range Extender only acts as a power source to provide electricity to the Drive Battery, extending the driving range."
