Zelandeth wrote: 18 Aug 2017, 20:02 Think Jim eventually traced the source of this leak on my car to the rear window washer jet seal being damaged. I still don't know what route the water was taking into the car - but he sealed that up and I believe it finally fully resolved it.

Yes, that was right Zel :)

The water was running down the outside of the water pipe to the damaged washer jet...

Reminds me, I must do a proper job of the repair before Davie takes over custodianship of Gabriel...

If theres any water leaks you can bet your boots the climate up here will find them. It rains 364 days a year here, if yesterday is anything to go by the car would have been drier berthed in the harbour :rofl2: :rofl2:

Lovely up here today :) Statistically we are one of the drier parts of the UK...

Davie, Gabriel is 100% water-tight now - at least down here she is ;)

Plus those 'noddle' wash mitts are a lot more thorough at getting cars clean, and into the awkward gaps.

When needed she will get squirted with the power hose and a wash mitt with Tesco wash and wax, then gets spin dried! That's all I ever use now, the Tesco stuff leaves a nice finish

When they wear out, Jim, you can get more of them from Poundland. I also have a pair (and I chose different colours so I can keep track of them when I do the various tasks).

I mostly shove mine through the car wash when I fill up - get a discount with buying fuel so the posh wash is only £2 :)
Getting a handwash tomorrow as it is MOT day on Monday.
Done the inside but not the outside as that will only make it rain :(

Hold on James, I've got to take this one easy... I've only just discovered Aldi and Lidl... Discovering the joys of Poundland may be just a little more than my delicate constitution can take so soon after the Aldi and Lidl experience
