Well like Tower of London needs its Ravens, what does POTD need to ensure its survival....

participators and at least a picture a day.....not much to ask from 10,000 plus members.

So I have spent all of 60 seconds, taking my camera out into the garden and pressing the shutter to save POTD for today at least.
What a good year for the roses<br />Many blooms......

It is indeed a good year for roses, especially the previously poor showing of the Blue Moon.
Hard to see among the poppies - partly 'cause most of them have been picked and taken indoors.
Not quite Kew Gardens.

I have completed another thousand posts which warrants a 3000cc celebration car picture....................vast range on offer from a 1972 F1 McLaren through Mitsubishi 3000GT to various Jags, Porsches, Alfas and even a Ferrari or two but for me there can only ever be one 3.0L V8 powered car which I was fortunate enough to own for 6 years:

Round here we would call it a clinker. Whether it dates back to the steam engine days or came from a domestic fire its an impressive bit of clinker, and worthy of its place amongst the roses.

Philosophical question.... when does a coal become an ember and when does an ember become a clinker? :-D

I think an ember becomes a clinker when it falls on some metal and goes "clink". :-D
