Obviously I'd love to say the 405 ad was the best.... but its so not. to paraphrase Kinky Boots, it needs to be RED!

Nope, the 405 advert is the very best ever, along with the fantastic soundtrack 'Take My Breath Away' that accompanies it :)

The 206 advert with the Hindustan Ambassador and the elephant comes a close second though...

My first 405 really did take my breath away - they're most excellent cars and one of the best (along with the 205 and 306) that PSA have ever made..

Funny what features Car manufacturers picked out fo advertising.

Heres one for the Citroen BX.....and the feature picked out

"The Citroen BX 19 GT still needs only 2 and a half hours Servicing every 12,000 miles"

"Loves Driving hates Garages"

Somehow, it's lost all it's intrinsic charm :(

It looks wrong from every angle...

Spotted one of these, not very remarkable, bit beefier than the 1970's Hillman namesake.

But can you really play smoke on the water with an auto box?

Judge for yourself

Advertising, especially car advertising can quite rapidly be dismissed as complete BS.
The old style adverts telling you of the features of the car have become an endangered and probably extinct species.

I noticed KIA's tagline which is at the heart of their new brand marketing. "KIA Movement that Inspires" as part of a tease of the soon to be revealed Kia EV6 car.

and a bit deeper delve, have to admit the animated billboards and the projection on the buildings are visually interesting.
