Excellent :D

It looks like something Time Team might dig up on on of their archaeological digs!

I've seen some Citroens which looked like that.
It obviously wanted to be found.
Nothing a good clean and a new case won't fix.
Don't let anyone fob you off with tales otherwise...

The Pcbs a write off, the main chip and the pcb itself both broke.
I'm sure once I've got the car back on the road someone will dig one out for me from somewhere.
Right now I'm not fixing the key as the cars still a temporary write off.

Absolutely.
It's my favourite car of all I've owned and there's been a few.
Not to mention it's my last Xantia.
There may be an Activa one day but only if my wage at least quadruples.
I did consider buying Gabriel and finding the V6 a slightly wealthier owner.
Couldn't do it though as I'm addicted to the noise, I love the auto and I'm never having another car without cruise control.

Hate cruise control (you can imagine how popular I am on the Cadillac forum) - except on 50mph M-ways with average speed cameras!

When I got my C5 it did not have cruise control. However, I was able to add it by fitting a stalk and configuration via a Lexia. I also mainly use it on motorway road-works.

I came across an advert for an old car of mine for sale, and I am trying to buy it back. This is the second time I have tried to buy it back, but somehow the owners of it, although both advertised it and answered my initial enquiry havent given me an address to go view it. Its the c4 vts, which I started this blog with. I sold it with under 60k covered I think, it now has 84k so hasnt done much since I last saw it. Its about 90 miles from me, up in Tain, north of Inverness. Im not trying to buy it for myself, but for a friend of mine. I dont know why thats two different people advertising it, neither of whom is who I sold it to, that as soon as I say I am a previous owner of it suddenly go quiet and wont reply. Very strange. If I am selling a car I reply to everyone and more so if they say they are serious and will basically go there, hand over the asking price if it is as described, and take it away.
