Im surprised at how much that is going for, what with no MOT or tax. It does look good though.

Hopefully they are finally increasing in value and desirability ... I doubt it sadly.

Likewise Franklin I don't trust the bidding on that car, the 21 feedback bidder has withdrawn 5 bids in the last 6 months, looks like he's bidding car's up to get a high price then withdraws his final bid to hand it back to the next bidder who may then think that they're getting a bargain.

"Good All Round Condition except, Nearside Front Suspension Sphere Needs Replacing" Eh? Wouldn't happen to be the balancing strut would it @ £350? How often does just one sphere on an axle go flat,,,,,,

Definitely a car to view before placing a bid.

Also, the same (0 feedbacker) seller had a VW Golf for sale on eBay at the same time but it finished sometime yesterday. Reason for mentioning this is that the same 21 feedback bidding was persistently bidding on that car two...

Rather convenient that the same person wants an Activa and Golf and they're from the same seller...

You would have to be someone with a lot of trust to buy an Activa unseen. Mind, they are dirt cheap so they might just be worth the gamble.

Provided you don't pay more than £150 so that you can have it taken away to be turned into a baked bean can and not be out of pocket

£556!! It's worth about 1/3 of that with no T&T. I smell a rat, or an idiot who buys Activas unseen. Anyway, if I had bid and I turned up and it wasn't as described, there's not hope in hell I'd pay. I don't go for all that "you win, you pay" stuff. If it isn't as they say, I don't part with any cash. Anyone who does is a tool. I'm not easily intimidated though, so some might have a problem with that.

Too right, I drove 700 miles one day to collect a car I had won on ebay. When I got there it turned out to be a scrapper and so I had to leave it there. I couldn't view it before the auction end for obvious reasons but the seller was not at all happy about me not taking the car back with me. Im never doing that again!

Even when the car is as described there is often thing you find and dont like but have very little power to do anything about it and few haggling bargains as you have put your price down on it. Id think twice before buying another car from ebay.

I've bought two cars on Fleabay. One, the seller was "conveniently" naiive, the other - a punt as the market was otherwise bare of the car type in question. Total overpayment based on objects received/assessed was about $1100 of a gross $4700, or around 25%.

Having said that, if there is a shill I do hope someone shopped them; I have done this before without hesitation.

I've bought a lot of cars from Ebay. I never pay via paypal, not even a deposit, always cash on collection. If they don't like it, tough, sell it to the next bidder. There's plenty of buyers choice. If it isn't exactly what I want, there's no deal. I will have checked with the seller exactly what I require, and what I expect so there can be no confusion. If it's not that, then no deal. I've walked away from a few. Refused to buy a couple of total sheds. Some moron threatened to get his brother and "do me over" if i didn't pay for a manky 306 that had been so badly described they must have had another hidden away that they'd used for the description.
