How much for a new hub?

Cassy needs an OSR hub, can anyone do me a huge favour and look on GSF's website for a price, or if anyone can find out the price from the stealers, I've only got web access on my phone for the rest of the weekend.

SKF listed as 84 pounds at ECP for a rear hub kit (that is for my hdi estate though, not sure if its a different part for yours though

Thanks guys, I think for such an important part I'll go to GSF rather than ECP, the clutch I got from them has lasted about 3.5 years, the aux belt tensioner sheered on me, and the heater matrix they sold me is of such poor build quality I'm going to ask for a refund and will have to get one from GSF.
Such a shame GSF's website is so bad.

Given use of a hydraulic press, is it possible to source bare bearings and thus re-use the old hub?

not if there constucted like the BX one's as the outter inner race is machined into the kneck of the drive flandge,

If you get the SKF kit you honestly won't go far wrong. The problem with places like GSF and ECP is that they often sell you the cheap version unless you specifically ask for the better version. I'd go with that SKF kit.

Ahh, bollocks

Now I understand why it's the complete hub. If push came to shove I'm sure a good engineering firm could machine it out and fit a normal bearing but that would cost as much as the kit, easily...

Jim, that might be the way forward, once all the spares are gone and its uneconomical for the major parts suppliers to remake.

I must concur about GSFs 'new' website, its pants, I do not bother buying from them now, unless I ring up for the part. Parts from ECP or any other factors are no better or worse, its better to buy the brands that you know make the quality parts, like Valeo, etc, irrespective of the seller.

OK looked on ECP and they do a SKF bearing for £81, but the page states it won't fit the car I've selected - then why bloody list it?
It does however give a photo that looks to me like a hub, so maybe as the bearing is not removable they've combined the two and dropped hub from the description.

Ventued into the depths of hell that is GSF.com and again they list only a bearing kit, this time for £43 which is cheaper than the price of the Orbis bearing kit from ECP.
No manufacturer is listed for the GSF part, well that would be far too helpful wouldn't it?

That was about the price I paid for a rear hub from GSF last year.
I think it turned out to be a reasonable quality part (OK the first one went bask because it had one ball fewer than it should).
