Its one I saw advertised in France a couple of weeks ago, and it was only half an hour out of my way...
Good Points:
1997 Mk1 V6 Activa (LHD of course)
Reasonable mileage (150,000 km on the clock, but little supporting documentation)
Engine sounds sweet (but it would with a broken exhaust)
Activa rams both dry
Colour: Silex Gris (same as my current S1 V6)
Bad points
Controle Technique (French MOT) expired.
Needs front disks and pads
Needs 2 new tyres
Exhaust pipe broken at rear box
Paint on bonnet badly scratched (kids washing it with stones?)
Activa wheels replaced by S2 SX steel wheels and trims
Seats not leather nor electric, small tear in rear seat
Hole worn in leather steering wheel
Minor crease on RH front wing and RH front door (parked too close to bollard?)
Suspension stiff as a board, flat hydroactive spheres, or hydroactive fault
The suspension was initially very reluctant to rise (both ends), until control put into high position.
At normal height setting, LH suspension is at full height, RH near bottom.
A/C no gas.
Car was imported from Germany 18 months ago (but supporting paperwork present).
I was somewhat disappointed, as prior correspondence with the vendor had not included most of the faults.
The vendor understands that it is not worth the 1500 euros that he advertised it for.
I don't know if it worth taking on as a project, the value of parts required would probably buy one in better basic condition with better history.
Went to look at a V6 Activa today..

I was not really in the mood to start negotiations, as the car was worse than I had expected. I had hoped to be able go down with enough parts to get it roadworthy and take it for a CT Test, but the list of faults is a bit long, and transporting the car as-is would be expensive.CitroJim wrote:What's his lowest offer as a fixer-upper?
I suppose he will eventually sell parts off it and scrap it.
