Espace 2.0 16v 2000 Rear Brakes

I need to change the rear brake pads, anyone know how to set them to allow free travel for the hand brake mechanism.

Should be like most cars nowa days I would have thought, remove old pads, wind the pistons back in, replace pads, then pumping brakes should auto adjust the handbrake mechanism within the caliper.
Have yet to come accross anything different where the service and parking brakes are applied by the same caliper.
