renault 19 cooling system

The metal coolant pipe at the front of the cylinder block on my renault 19 has developed a leak. Do I need to take the water pump out to replace this pipe?

No,but make sure you get a new seal with the new metal pipe.
It's tight to get out,make sure you get all the pieces out of the hole,so the new pipe is not obstructed
