...Handling...

Unread post by ACTIVE8 »

Recently on Top Gear there was a feature on "comedy handling cars" so they picked some cars to test and they featured the Toyota Prius, Produra Henari, and the Smart Car.

What the heck never seen a Produra Henari (I think that's the correct spelling) before this feature, and it's ugly and crap.

The results of the test(s) showed cars that understeered, oversteered etc and couldn't take a corner properly.

Anyway, it would be interesting to see a feature on other cars that offer more, and are better than expected, even in effect sleepers.

The Activa would cetainly show them the exact opposite, and could be an interesting test.

Or would it better to have 5th Gear run that type of test as they might be more fair and objective.

Although after a test on TV our little secret  will be more widely known :( but then again it would maybe stop the idiots who go around stripping them, because they would know what it is, and how rare it is.
It's as they say a double edged sword if you (pun intended) get my point. :D

The Kenari is a horrible car, i dont think anyone has bought one, not surprising really!

Id really like to see an Activa tested by TopGear or Fifthgear, although it would possibly end up with them ruining it or poking fun. Still i think you might be right, more people may appreciate them for what they are, a fantasit car with technology that will never be used again.

After all, as it says in another thread, only 1150 Activas were sent to the UK, cant be many left?!

The way Top Gear usually treats used cars (in their "challenges"), I'd really hate to see an Activa there. It'd be an LHM-leaking non-functional beater ready for scrapyard.

Although they did a quite nice episode of old GTIs a few years back (new vs. old type of thing). Would be great to see a properly serviced Activa in an event like that.

I'd not let any Activa within 100 miles of TG. You know they'd only take the P, run into it, open a door against it or drop a soddin' piano on it.

Whatever, they'd not be at all objective. TG is simply cheap (albeit funny) light entertainment and could not be serious if it's future depended on it.

So let's keep Activas well away from them. Fifth Gear would be better. I'm sure it would make VBH* giggle and how I love to hear VBH giggling

Did you see the episode where she had a G-meter in a new BMW 3-series doing some tight bends... would be interesting to see the same meter in an Activa. 8)
