That's quite a close match Neil :-D

I've just checked her paint code... EJX. That's Rouge Furio (furious red?) :) Nothing very furious about a 954cc AX

  I think I can still claim the most (or least) as Zel's Invacar has more gauges than mine does   Although I may have more warning lights...

And my wheels only have three wheel studs, against Zel's four so we actually have the same number!

I think, stretching the definition a fair bit, I have a pretty good contender, but expect in reality it's likely disqualified following a steward's enquiry...
Spoiler: show
Pretty bare bones, no!?

The 2.0 petrol in a fairly heavy 406 Coupe body is no flying machine....

....and with 169,000 miles covered it's engine was fairly tired....

But yes, fair to say it's a fair bit slower still, in its current configuration! :)

Thanks Matt and over the next few weeks she'll likely look even nicer :)

This morning Bluebell played a game of hide 'n' seek between two monster SUVs in the car park of one of our big shopping centres...

Me too, I think the other two big lumps would likely make excellent engine donors for something interesting! (E.g. BMW's lovely 3.0 straight six diesel given something smaller, lower, lighter than a big fat blob of X6...

Illegal registration plates on both the fatties.

There was a gigantic BMW out the back car park yesterday, barely fit through the pass-through under my house.

And a fitting plate on it, ? ?? TWA. just needed another letter.
Seen it parked on a 'drive' off the main road here and halfway over the footpath, no chance of getting a wheelchair past it.

One wonders where all this super-sizing of cars is going to come to an end? I keep on thinking there has to be a limit but still they keep on expanding...

I still consider my C3 Picasso to be a big car but allegedly it's just a Mini-MPV...

I've tried to decode what the plate on the BMW is trying to spell but I stand defeated... J SCOOBY is clear enough on the Nissan.

Look carefully and you may be able to see Bluebell's (and Strawberry's) plates are technically illegal as they have no maker's names on them and no BSAU certification marks. They are of the correct font and correctly spaced but otherwise plain. How I like them.

The rules for plates depend on the first registration date of the vehicle, so yours are probably OK.

Yes, especially as mine always goes through the MoT without any comment...

It's been a good morning :D The old aerial on the side of my house is now down and the wall cleared ready for the carport for which I've received a satisfactory quote and will be formally surveyed soon. I expect it to be installed well before the bad weather approaches.

I've also set in train improvement work on my driveway and have a survey/quote in the next few days to lay new carpets in my house.

The only down side is I woke with a painful quad this morning and it's interfering with my running. It's not so bad when I'm cycling...

Odd it should happen in the night, especially as I've not run for three days. Maybe that's why...

I received my renewal offer for my breakdown cover with LV... It's gone up this year...

By a whole whopping £3!

And I find Strawberry was first registered in Bournemouth...

So that means Daffodil, Bluebell and Strawberry all originate from the same part of the country. Daffodil from Salisbury and Bluebell from Exeter.
