I often fail to recognise people if I encounter them where not expecting them.
One was even my daughter.

In Greggs, many years ago, there was a bloke who looked my way, didn't recognise him at all, until a couple of hours later. Had been on an electronics course with him a few months previously.

And a lad I knocked about with for several years. I was talking to my brother in law in Whitby but had long since left the town. The person with him left and I asked who it was and it turned out to be my old mate.
Probably pass loads of people and never register who they are.

Just to prove I am domesticated, this is what I was doing earlier.

In our house I am the only driver allowed to use this machine apparently.
We have it's smaller, lighter cousin but it has apparently been on an extended vacation stay with one of my wife's relatives. This is Fife, after all.

I heard the sound of a Chinook earlier, but it sounded wrong. I was wrong; there were three of them, in the distance and low to the horizon. I managed to get all three in the first shot, and (by using 30X optical zoom) got in tighter on one of them.

Yes, around these parts, cold enough to seriously test the competence of that dodgy coolant reported elsewise on this fine forum ;)

Loving the patterns on your cold frames Bobins... They were certainly that this morning!!!

I have just found out that the Chinooks I photographed yesterday may well have been carrying somebody of World importance;

A great parkrun today and happily I'm well on the mend and so is my voice... I could do loads of talking today and as usual when I'm Run Director, the run didn't start on time as I'm always too busy talking

A couple of photos from today's event... One of our barcode scanners had her young daughter with her who made herself very busy rounding up all of our cones around the start area 😀

Loving the cone comments 😀😂

Delighted to have saved all these old OS maps from a skip during my run early this morning 😀
osmaps.jpg
All perfectly legit as the skip had a big sign to say 'help yourself'... I did!

I'm particularly pleased with this 1967 Buckingham 1 inch - it covers Paggers and environs long before MK came along.

I love old maps 💛 I can loose myself in them for hours and hours, especially the older ones...

Apropos hoarding and related under discussion in another thread... To make room for these a load of books will be on their way to a charity shop today ;)
