You can now attach a photo by using the 'Full Editor & Preview' button, then 'attachments' tab at the bottom, select add files and upload the picture and then use the button to place it where you want in the text area of your post.

Well the first picture is certainly looking to be missing half a dozen chips - look on the PCB on the edge where it says ABCD just under there you can see half the Optocouplers are missing when compared with the following!

I don't really need to look any further than the first picture, that is definitely not a full chip revision C unit Renegade, sadly, so the first thing you should do is downgrade back to the previous version of a Diagbox as this firmware will not work properly with this hardware and may cause other problems.

It is highly unlikely that the other components are there either.

Time to invest in a new Lexia I think

Hi
I contacted easydiagnostic and told them my problem with the intension of buying one of their units but was told that they thought that theif £118 unit would not work on my model car.
I am stuffed,I do t think there is a Lexia out there that will talk to my gearbox ecu.
Thank goodness finvers crossed that I do not as far az I know have a problem with it.

I don't know of this problem with newer kits not working on the C5 X7 - There's one way to know for sure though, try and get hold of a member with a newish Revision C kit from Easy Diags near to you and give it a test on your car before committing to a new purchase yourself. Might be worth a bit of travel just to run the global test and see for yourself if the EGS Gearbox ECU is picked up. This gearbox has been in service for some time and we know that the Diagbox software itself it more than capable of dealing with newer models than your car. You'd know for sure then - enless of course it is not being picked up because of a fault - but I don't want to suggest that if you are not having any issues with it!

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads HELP

Unread post by renagade »

This is a cry for help. I live in Doncaster and was wondering if any of you guy's near to me ( willing to travel ) have the Lexia Revision C kit from Easy Diags as I am having difficulty in getting my Lexia 3 to spaek to my car. The car is a Citroen 2011 c5 x7 1.6 e-hdi with the egs6 gearbox. I would like to come to you and have you put your Revision C kit from Easy Diags Lexia on my car to see if it would work if so I would then ditch my Lexia and purchase a Revision C kit from Easy Diags Lexia, I think they are selling for £118 just now. I would then sell my Lexia ( worked fine on my 2009 c5 x7 ). I need a Lexia that will read my gearbox ECU.

Have you had a look at the list of owners and the map of their locations here?
PM the likely ones as they may not look in this thread.
Map is at the end of the post.

When you launch diagbox the version will be displayed in the top right corner of the application.

I have decided to put my Lexia 3 rev. B on the e-bay. I have come to the conclusion that the problem I am having when cold is the DMF. I am now saving much money to sorte that out.
Thanks Guy's

Don't forget to put an Ad in the For Sale section for your old Lexia too!

I just got this one. I'll write an follow up after initial testing. My car is year 2008 C5 x7 with 2.7hdi engine. It does say that this works with C5 but that's yet to be seen...
