No car work for me yesterday...

We celebrated Robyn's 30th at a big family party..

Robyn's sister Sian baked her this cake... Girl Guide Camp themed as Robyn is a Guide Leader... Sian's really quite talented in the cake department!

Loving the toasted marshmallows around the camp fire... Sian tells me these are genuine toasted marshmallows :D

The party was absolutely magical and great to spend a day with the entire family...

Just spotted this. No kids around, raining and they are all in school anyway.
These weren't there earlier, when they would have been going to school.
The landscapers are doing the rounds cutting down the bushes and perhaps they have found them and put them out.
Camera struggling to focus.

Clear skies appear in the West, after a very damp Tuesday November 15th 2022.

Three years ago on Friday November 15th 2019, this beauty arrived at Chez Falcon with 28,400 ish on the clock.

The tale is well documented from then till now in the 32 pages to date of the thread "Bargain Basement Electric"

Interior Design jumps on the "Named Brick" bandwagon :-D
Not a proper brick but a Ceramic Brick Vase in a number of, bright colours and a number of different names.

That looks a bit on the damp side Neil? I hope you are not in danger? :)

Not good. We have a couple of roads flooded but not too bad. Mercedes Man in his EQA is heading your way as we speak. That might be fun in the deep stuff.

Thanks, we are fine and unless the river gets 30 metres above normal we should be alright!. Does cause a little consternation in that there was a danger last night on the way back home round 8-9pm that the road may have been flooded, and probably a good time to recap my experiences of taking our Xsara Picasso for a dip in floodwater in 2015.

There was no way I was going to attempt to drive through the flood had it made its way across the road. At that point is not just a pool but the river current flows through it as well. Luckily last night it hadn't reached that point. This morning it had and the road was closed.

So here is the cautionary tale, never drive through a deep flood in a Xsara Picasso 2.0 Hdi. It will suck up the water like a hoover from its low air intake, and it will wreck your engine. Yes and if you have an autobox with a breather tube, never drive through deep floodwater either. A flash flood on the Felling Bypass did for an AM6 box on a Vectra I had.
The Picasso tale is here in the thread Floodwater 1 Xsara Picasso 2.0 Hdi 1

Unfortunately the incident left a ticking time-bomb of a broken glow plug tip which 5,000 miles later wreaked its revenge and the final score when all was said and done was Floodwater 2 Xsara Picasso 1 as the scrapmen took it prematurely away.
